State of Affairs
Welcome to this community of men who are striving to be the best versions of themselves. We live in a world where most men are lost. They have muddled their identities, misplaced their focus, and most of all lost their strength and masculinity. This blog is tooled to be a compass we look to in those moments of struggle during our lives, so we don’t lose sight of who we are at our cores; so that we stay in alignment with our most important values. No matter how many times it’s said, it will be proven false. Masculinity is not toxic; it is the weapon that keeps the monsters at bay. Masculinity is about strength in all regards. Society trembles in its absence and the current state of affairs filled with depression, anxiety, and suffering is a testament to the need for masculinity. The proof is in the pudding. Let’s take our power back, one masculine man at a time. Together we are stronger. Join me in this journey of self-improvement.
We’re weak, we’re passive, we’re paralyzed by the fear of backlash. We’re deteriorating mentally, physically, and sexually. Our diets lead us to soft impotent bodies. Women open doors with promises of unconditional love and the moment we step in they destroy us, pushing us off a cliff into an abyss of debt, doubt, and depression. We intertwine our identities and value with the women we court, only to have the world crash around us the moment they leave. Or worse yet, we shift our boundaries when they overstep the ones we set, and our former self rebukes our current self. We let the world talk us into vulnerability only to be struck down the moment we let our defenses down.
We’ve been advised to be in touch with our emotions so much that we give any emotion autonomy over important decisions. Idealizing any momentary inspiration and continually shifting our goals, with the only constant being lack of focus. Lack of focus, that runs us around in a circle chasing ourselves, leaving us with less time, less value, and no accomplishments.
Wisdom will be our true north, tempering our decisions ensuring we are grounded in our choices. Strength will be our west, ensuring we have the courage to purposefully move forward and end our associations with weakness; weather by cutting it away or repairing our debility. Honor will be our east, holding us true to our word so that our paths will be just. Discipline shall be our south, for when we encounter adversity, our resolve demands that we persist and relentlessly press forward.
Think on yourself and this quote.
"Strength is not like the willow that bends low to every breeze, but rather like the oak that stands stiff in the tempest, or like the granite cliff against which the mad sea dashes itself to pieces. The very notion of strength dictates action, it presupposes work." -James Isaac Vance
